Julie Powers Julie Powers is an early childhood consultant. She has worked with children, families, educators, and communities for over thirty years. She earned a bachelor's degree in child development and family relations from the University of Arizona and a master's degree with specializations in both parent/community work and early childhood education from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California. She taught college courses for Pacific Oaks College, Colorado Northwestern Community College, Pima Community College, and worked as a child development associate (CDA) advisor. She has also taught children in a variety of programs, such as parent cooperatives and Head Start. Julie has been both a commissioner and a validator for accreditation and is now on the NAEYC council for early childhood program accreditation
