Carolyn Edwards is a Willa Cather Professor and Professor of Psychology and Child, Youth, and Family Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is an internationally recognized expert on child development, early childhood education, cross-cultural studies, and teacher preparation. She engages in extensive training and service activities to improve the quality of educational programs for young children and their families. She is also part of research projects at the University of Nebraska seeking to evaluate and improve the quality of children's services and to strengthen parent-child relationships to help get children ready for school.
